2011 China Drumbeat Hackfest Starts

Drumbeat is a global community of innovators like you, building a more awesome web and world. Connect with others. Find great projects. Or share your own.

Mozilla Drumbeat Hackfests

Drumbeat Hackfests are live collaborative events where tools and technologies that support the open web are designed and created. The theme of the 2011 China Drumbeat is citizen science on the web, a growing trend which is also called "citizen cyberscience". Some of the world's leading developers in this field will be participating, like David Anderson, director of the famous SETI@home volunteer computing project.

In the event, you will see:

  • Several new projects and initiatives will be started.
  • New networks of developers and scientists will be formed.
  • The most promising prototypes will go forward to development.
  • Everyone will have lots of fun! (meeting with elites, hot discussions, awards, meals, gifts...)
