First ATLAS collision data were replicated to Beijing Tier2 site

First beam and first events in ATLAS

After LHC started on 10 September 2008, the first Altas collision data were replicated to Beijing Tier2 site successfully lat night from CERN via France Lyon. Currently, Beijing Tire2 site is involved in Fanch cloud, which is comosed of  the Tier2 and Tier3 sites of France, China, Romania and Japan. This event marks a key step for Beijing Tier2 site in the transition from setup and testing to a real production operation.
